Oil on canvas, 24”x36” (29”x41” framed).

Entombed under an earthen grave lies the splintering cold of a child’s coffin.

This idea came to me just as I was about to fall asleep one night, I had to get up and sketch it right away so I could remember it before going back to bed. Maybe it came from a haunting echo somewhere in the corridor of my tired subconsciousness, but it hit me emotionally in way I couldn’t say in words, so I had to paint it.
