This was inspired by Edward Hoppers work, particularly his New York City paintings of lonely rooftops, isolated brick buildings contrasted by muted landscapes, his use of dreamy cinematic lighting. Pigeons are resilient despite the dangers of a city. Persevering with only one leg to stand on, a cheeky tribute to the “Hopper” namesake. Acrylic on Wooden panel, 12”x18”x2”.
